Software Developer Interview Experience

Process

In the last month, I had a phone interview with Bloomberg. There were no behavioral questions, and two coding questions.

First, the interviewer provided a C function prototype and a single rule for the function. Then, he asked me to figure out an implementation to satisfy the rule. It was a bit tricky.

The second question involved finding the rule for a given number sequence. For each input, I needed to implement a function that applied the rule to the input and generated the output sequence.

Questions

I think the first one is tricky. At the very beginning, I didn't catch the interviewer's point.
