I applied online and heard back from a recruiter after about a week and a half. We scheduled a phone interview for the following week.
A week later, I was waiting by the phone for about an hour and never received a call. I needed to head to class, so I sent the recruiter an email asking what was going on. While I was in class, the interviewer called me. It turned out the recruiter had told the interviewer a different time than what she had told me.
I rescheduled for a new time with the recruiter, but she never apologized for wasting my time. Between the time of this email and the actual phone interview, another recruiter emailed me asking to set up a phone interview for the same position. It's clear that the recruiters at Bloomberg are extremely disorganized.
A week later, the phone interview finally happened. The interviewer called me from a very noisy area, and I had trouble hearing him due to background noise. We coded in a shared environment and talked about my background, then ran through two coding questions.
Two weeks later, I received a generic rejection email. There was no feedback and no apology for wasting my time.
