Process

I applied via the Bloomberg site and after a couple of weeks, I received an email invitation for a phone interview.

On the day of the interview, the engineer started by introducing himself and explaining what his team does.

Then we talked about a project I worked on and the technologies I used. Nothing deep.

He then asked me why I want to join Bloomberg, and we went on to the technical aspects.

This was a phone interview. I am still waiting for a response.

Questions

Why do you want to join Bloomberg?

Design a "mini" web browser. Methods:

  • visit(String url)
  • getHistory() - Print the user's history. The most recent URL appears first, and so on, while avoiding duplicates.
  • clearHistory()

Find the minimum sum in an array. The minimum sum is the smallest sum of any two numbers in the array.

e.g., 4, 7, 67, 3, 16 ==> 7

Return the two numbers from an array that are closest to one another.

e.g., 4, 7, 67, 3, 16 ==> 4, 3
