I was contacted by a recruiter through LinkedIn. We arranged a call, she asked a couple of questions about my background, and I submitted the application immediately afterwards.

A week or two later, I received an email to schedule a phone interview that included a HackerRank pair programming session.

During the interview, the interviewer tested my analytical and thinking skills as we went through the problem. We didn't necessarily compile the code; it was more of a pseudocode solution.

It was a question about finding the number of rooms a company will need to host meetings, based on the times the meetings are occurring. The start and end times are given as a list of tuples.
