I had an Technical R2 at Bloomberg. The interviewer first introduced themselves and asked me to introduce myself. Afterwards, they asked me 2 behavioral questions and we directly dived into coding.
During coding, they expect us to:
- Understand and explain the problem of what you understood
- Try to come up with approach
- Try to show them in pseudo code
- Do coding within time
- Explain what will be output through dry run
- Discuss optimal solution

Pros: Benefits are amazing, reputable, and basically dominates the financial data market. It participates in philanthropy actively.
Cons: Engineering quality is not good because it’s a data company. Lots of senior engineers are coasting.

Disappointed, Miserable, Highly Political

Pros: All in a picture, nothing in reality. Very disappointed. Complained to HR about my manager; they didn't even listen. From what I hear left and right, people are not happy and are either actively searching for another company or thinking about it.
Cons: Pro-Ukrainians; God forbid you are Russian, you are not going to make it. They make your life miserable. It's a very political place and there's nothing good about work-life balance. Once Mike B. stepped out, it all started to go downhill. A bunch of trainings on harassment, but when it comes to the real deal, all is quiet like nothing is happening. It's useless; nobody is doing anything to prevent or follow up.
