I received a phone call from a senior software engineer at Bloomberg. They asked a technical question that was fairly simple. The interviewer had a very heavy accent, which caused me to constantly ask for clarification on what they said. Most of the interview was wasted simply because I could not understand what was being asked.
Anyone who had this interviewer deserves another chance. This person should not be conducting interviews, as individuals like myself, who worked hard to secure this interview at a company we love and aspire to contribute value to, lose the opportunity to showcase our skills and value.
If anyone from Bloomberg sees this, you should seriously consider re-interviewing candidates who had this interviewer. It seems like it should be obvious who it is, as there are about three or four people on Glassdoor who have had the same complaint, and on other forums as well.
