Software Engineer Interview Experience

Process

The interview process is terrible. I have had nine phone screenings and technical conversations, and nine HackerRank interviews.

Hiring managers do not communicate with each other, and interviewers are not trained to actually interview people.

Two times, I had interviews for positions where my skill set was totally off the actual role. I am not sure why I was given an interview for a role that I didn't apply for.

One time, the interviewer kept himself on mute the entire time. When I was asking questions, he definitely did not participate in the conversation at all.

Two times, I was assigned four questions in HackerRank, and I nailed them. The interviews went very well, but then I got the feedback that I only completed one of four and it took me too much time.

I had a strong feeling that BB is not really hiring people and is not looking for good candidates.
