Pros: Work-Life Balance is good. I sometimes leave work around 4 pm.

Cons: Overall an old company that cares mostly about seniority and is stubborn about policy. 1. They insisted on returning to the office during COVID times. This makes me think they don't care about their employees' health (since I am a software engineer, it's not like I really need to complete the work in the office). 2. In some teams, what you can learn is finite. After you learn every part, you probably won't learn new things unless you change teams. 3. Your assessment of your mentor or TL doesn't seem to affect them. Therefore, some mentors or TLs won't be very helpful. 4. For non-senior-level software engineers, Bloomberg helps process the green card after one year of joining. However, the company asked the employees to stay for at least two years after they got their GC, or you need to pay them back. Moreover, if you leave the company within three years, you need to give back your 401k match.

Pros: Good work-life balance, good culture.

Cons: Terrible senior management, no vision.

Pros: The great culture and good internal communication. The philanthropy. The exciting projects. There is a strong will and efforts to move to modern techs, which is no small feat. The involvement in the open source community. Great internal mobility. Amazing compensation & benefits. Diversity & inclusion is discussed a lot internally, but diverse representation is still lacking for the time being in the management chain.

Cons: Plenty of tech debt, sometimes dating from several decades ago, requires courage and determination not everyone might be willing to face. Documentation is of varying quality and freshness. Teams are not all equally well-organized.
