Cons: None I can think of. The pay is fairly good, but maybe not as good as some other companies might provide.

Pros: It really depends on the team, but the environment and atmosphere has been amazing.
The work is meaningful, and the mentorship really helps you overcome any problems and lack of knowledge.
People are very friendly.
Cons: At the beginning, there is a big learning curve in understanding the whole system, what your team is working on, the development flow, and other Bloomberg-specific things.

Pros: Challenging & interesting problems being tackled, many opportunities within the company, active open source & inner source communities, a supportive environment, a tech company in the finance industry rather than the other way around.
Cons: Longer hours than other big tech companies. Engineers will typically be on-call for one week per month/6 weeks, which can require early morning wake-ups when outages occur. This affects some teams more than others, though.
