Everything that follows is based on working on the Terminal, but there are many other roles in the company where this does not apply (most web-based teams).

• The Terminal does not use open-source technology and is stuck with a lot of proprietary technologies that could be improved upon.
• It can be a bit of turning the Titanic around when it comes to serious technological improvements.
• Clients are set in their ways (have been using it for 30+ years), which makes decisionmakers resistant to change.

The terminal should be web-based. It's 2022!
