Networking Good, Busywork Bad
Engineering Intern • Former Employee
November 13, 2022
Pros: The phone interview is simple and fairly easy. Do your research on the company beforehand, and you'll be just fine. The internship included several opportunities to network inside and outside of the company.
Cons: The company has many teams, and most available tasks are too complicated for interns to handle. The internship mainly consisted of busywork and paperwork.
During the internship, I got to see how the management operated. I disagreed with their treatment of women compared to the men. Salaries also suspiciously weighed more towards the men than women. I also found that many of the employees had to stay and work overtime but were not compensated for the extra time.
