Software Engineer Interview Experience - Bengaluru, India

Process

Worst HR in the world. They just try to grow in India, hence hiring engineers. HR recruiters schedule interviews, but they don't know whom they are speaking with. They called me and always found they wanted to call someone else.

They have a policy, so they are not disclosing anything about the product. I gave a STAR interview after a telephonic technical round. I found one inexperienced guy sitting with a manager and asking internal project and architecture details about my project, even though they have a policy. It seems the manager took a guy without giving him guidelines on how to take an interview.

HR schedules interviews and forgets you. You only need to follow up with them. They are not asking good design and development questions, even though they don't have requirements for good designers and developers. They just want some good English-speaking people who can create false stories and tell them. No respect for your core skills. I found my current organization much better with respect to major areas after attending an interview there. HR seems to have a lot of ego, seeing candidates like unemployed people.

Questions

You just need to improve your English. They are not considered core technical skills. They are hiring based on your English, and how good you are at making stories.
