Boeing's recruiting process is a complete joke, and a waste of time. I applied for a requisition months ago.

I got a phone call setting up an interview about a month later. So I interviewed for this position (typical STAR structured question/answer session) over the phone, and then a day later I got a call saying they wanted to give me an offer. Great!

The recruiter said they needed to work out some details but that I would get an official offer soon. I waited a week, and nothing.

I emailed him, and he just kept giving excuses every time I called or emailed him, saying the hiring managers were on vacation, they were at a job fair, they were still finishing up my offer, whatever.

Another few weeks went by. I emailed again and got no response. Another few weeks passed...

Then, out of nowhere, I got that typical form letter: "Thank you for applying, but we have decided to go with another candidate."

What?! I tried calling the recruiter and found out he quit (or got fired) weeks ago!

The new recruiter couldn't give me a straight answer, and after going back and forth again, the hiring manager finally contacted me and gave me some BS answer.

What a complete joke of a company. Looking at other reviews, it seems like they enjoy wasting people's time just for the sake of filling their interview quotas.
