I applied online in December of 2011. I applied to 4 Boeing locations because I heard they were a good company to work for, and I wanted a good internship experience.
In March, I was contacted for a phone interview, which I accepted. Within 2-3 weeks, I received an email with a notification that I had an offer waiting on their online hiring system. From there, I just had to pass a background check and drug test in order to accept the offer.
This was a structured interview in which I tried to use technical experiences to answer the behavioral questions. This seemed to work well because it gave my interviewing managers information about past projects I had done, even though they couldn't ask about them. Teamwork was very important to emphasize.
The following metrics were computed from 161 interview experiences for the Boeing Software Engineer role.
Boeing's interview process for their Software Engineer roles is fairly selective, failing a large portion of engineers who go through it.
Candidates reported having very good feelings for Boeing's Software Engineer interview process.
