Pros

Pay is average for the industry. You are usually able to work from home when needed, but are expected in the office five days a week. Processes are great when they are adhered to.

Cons

Management bids projects more than the current workforce can handle, always. Way too much bureaucracy means everything takes way too long, and frequently, important processes are missed in order to meet schedule. Corporate Boeing doesn't care at all about individual workers, and no individual input ever makes it past the immediate manager. Any deviation from standard pay or work expectations will always be vetoed. Managers are always encouraged to minimize expenses. No negotiation will happen when it comes to the starting offer.

Advice to Management

Listen to employees:

  • Better pay for individuals
  • Don't force back to office
  • Quit over-promising completion dates to higher-ups
  • Allow more transparency to lower employees
