Generally a good place to work. Management is usually on top of changing trends in the Defense industry and tries to plan accordingly.
Nepotism is alive and well in some areas of the Defense organization. Young managers move too quickly to the top without spending time to learn the skills necessary to manage projects or people.
Pay more attention to people management skills. It is one thing to preach the party line about taking care of people, but quite another to actually demonstrate it.
