Site management's overbearing, prioritizing profit over quality to the point that it causes artificial obstacles. Processes are so rigid that the job is more about asking for approvals than actual engineering. High attrition results in significant knowledge gaps. These factors manifest into a feeling of hopelessness that permeates many of the programs of work here.
Listen to the people on the ground -- those doing the engineering, and those putting the parts together. The job is to make a quality product for customers, not bow to shareholders.
