I was able to work in several different departments during my time at Boeing and learn more as a result of that. However, most people were not given that opportunity.
Also, there are frequent layoffs (but this is common in the industry).
Develop a consistent strategy and communicate that strategy to all levels of employees.
(There were conflicting messages as to where the company was headed, which types of products we were trying to sell to our customers, etc.)
