Boeing offers good benefits. Being a large company, there is always the possibility of a new direction coming with new management.

There is no future in manned space flight at Boeing in Houston, Texas. There are only a handful of projects, which are mostly sustaining, and even those are starting to downsize. The management has become increasingly worse over the years. It has become too much to stay. The leadership has boiled down to a small group trying to desperately remain in power. They lack vision and motivation to grow the company.

Talk to the people on the ground. I have been around long enough and am well enough connected that I know that each layer of management is progressively less accurate with the status and reporting of events.

There is downright lying and misdirection at the lower levels to hide the poor job being done. It seems like management just tries to hide the bad things until they are promoted or move on.
