Pros

Excellent work-life balance, time flexibility, 9/80 schedule, 100% tuition refund, free gym, laid-back, slow culture – perfect for families or for someone that wants to be comfortable.

Cons

Slow-moving company, slow career growth within the company, disorganized management, lack of value to software engineers, significantly lower than market salary, low bonuses. Coffee is not free, with no snacks or friendly gestures to employees.

Advice to Management

If you want to compete with the top companies in the world, then compensate like they do. Senior management sees Boeing as an 'aerospace' company, when in fact it can easily shift to being a 'tech' company. Boeing's income, IP, research, and technologies put it on par with other tech companies, so why not pay like one? This is the main reason many young software engineers leave when they see how well their peers do comparatively.
