Pros

Good personalities to work with for the most part. The benefits are great, especially if you are young. My advice is to get in and get them to pay for your degree and then leave. Work/life balance is great, since there is very little required in terms of performance.

Cons

There are a considerable amount of people doing little or no work. The company is reliant on heroes that are running most of the projects, and it burns people out and they leave. Knowledge sharing is non-existent. The pace is extremely slow. Work that is done over months is done in weeks at other companies. Many people are working full time while supporting another job outside the company due to lack of a challenge and boredom.

Advice to Management

End the justification of existence throughout the company. Don't keep people on the payroll to keep a manager in a job.

Throwing more bodies to recover the schedule is toxic when no one seems to know what they are doing.
