Good pay and benefits.
Lots of different areas to work in and jobs to do.
Process, process, and more process. Outsourcing of engineering work has really gotten out of hand.
Boeing engineers end up doing more project management work than engineering work due to the outsourcing (a positive if you like project management).
Like I stated above, there are lots of different jobs to do, but it's hard to get out of the one you're in if you don't like it.
Please take a hard look at the business model of outsourcing almost all engineering and manufacturing work. I fear there will be dire long-term consequences.
No technical questions asked. They are super focused and live and die on the STAR questions. No test required. Not even sure if they’re allowed to ask anything outside of the STAR questions.
Technical questions were focused more on solid mechanics, structures, and basic aircraft parts. Knowing CATIA software is an added advantage. Thoroughly know your projects because they like to dive deeper and ask questions related to the same.
The interview was scheduled a few weeks in advance. I interviewed with two managers in the department over Teams. Both were nice and easy to talk to during the interview.
