I went through three technical interview rounds: two LeetCode-style medium questions and a system design round. All the technical rounds went pleasantly; the interviewers were good and active during the interviews. At the end, they all stayed a little longer to answer all my questions regarding their work.
I would rate the experience as positive if not for the ghosting from Bolt's part afterward. I expected an email after the third round with either the next steps in the interview process or information that they chose not to continue with the interview.
There was complete radio silence. I tried reaching out to my recruiter via email a few times, LinkedIn, and by phone, but received no reply. I gave my recruiter the benefit of the doubt, thinking maybe they were sick or on holiday, so I tried reaching out to other Bolt recruiters on LinkedIn – no reply either.
This ghosting felt deliberate. I think it is very unprofessional on their part to drag a candidate through several interview rounds and not even bother to send an automated message stating that the interview will not proceed afterward.
