Software Engineer Interview Experience - Amsterdam, Netherlands
June 1, 2022
Negative ExperienceNo Offer
Process
I only had a phone screening interview, after which the recruiter ghosted me. This was a really disappointing experience, and I didn't expect it to turn out so badly. I hope next time I try to join Booking.com, I have a better recruiter.

Free Lunch, Worst Job
Software Engineer • Former Employee
Amsterdam, Netherlands
January 15, 2025
Pros: Free lunch. Not much else is good.
Cons: Worst place I ever worked by far. The culture was horrible, the codebase was horrible, the processes were horrible, and testing was non-existent. If you relocate, there will be stickiness clauses in the contract forcing you to stick with the BS until the clauses expire.
