A toxic engineering culture, focused on attempting to be "better" than your peers, rather than one that learns together. It feels like walking into a yesteryear of engineering. Truly the type of environment that should be avoided. I cannot state that enough - if you care about the environment you're working in in any way, then do not become a software engineer at Booking.com.

This, whilst also being incredibly sad for those impacted, creates a paltry working environment.
