I was interviewed by two engineers for a technical screening. One engineer was shadowing the other.
For the first two minutes, they introduced themselves, and I briefly introduced myself. They then went over the requirements by asking me to read the documentation.
After that, for the next 50 minutes, I was on my own. The two interviewers made no attempt to interact with me. It was awkward to be watched while I tried to debug. The two interviewers were just staring at the screen and did not say a single word. At the end, I found the issue and continued.
The requirement was to finish the first part and attempt the second part if I had time. I finished the first part and 90% of the second part. I told the interviewers how to finish the remaining 10% if I had just two more minutes.
The recruiter sent a canned rejection email the next day. I asked if I could get some feedback, but they have not replied since.
I will NOT recommend anyone in my circle to interview with Brex.
