Pros: You get to work in an Agile SCRUM environment while developing software for their large-scale products. You will gain insight into their large C, C++ code on data packet handling and Internet Protocols. The workplace is relaxed, and plenty of help is available if you get stuck at any point.

Cons: It gets boring when you are doing and dealing with the same thing.

Pros: - Job pays very well and the cubicles are big.

Cons: There's almost no company office culture.

Pros: I worked at Broadcom in Richmond, BC, halfway through my second year of university. It was a good place to learn some skills and get a feeling for what it's like to actually work as a software engineer. Everybody was really helpful and made sure that I knew what I was doing.

Cons: Sometimes, as an intern, you kind of get lost in the corporate structure. When scheduling projects, I wasn't even a consideration. I just got a few odd jobs, and I'm pretty sure that almost none of the work I did actually ended up being used.
