Pay can be very good depending on your role and comparable to high-end tech companies like Google, Meta, etc.
Flat hierarchy: VMware had too many managers, slowing down business decisions.
Everything else is a con. There is no organizational culture here; you are working in a sweatshop where management expects you to lower your head and just work because you are getting rich on paper. If I could describe the environment, it is full of fear, confusion, sadness, hostility, and quiet overall.
- Poor communication
- Constant layoffs
- No WFH
- Old traditional man managing the corporation
Be humane and ethical. Have some respect for your employees.
