Pros

After VMware merged with Broadcom, I worked for nearly 8 months. After that, they laid me off (all contract employees).

I haven't seen any pros.

Cons

Each employee is now bothering about layoffs. Three months once they prepare the employee firing list.

Before COVID, for my personal reason, my manager gave me WFH for nearly one month, even though I was working as a contract employee. But now, I can't take WFH even for a single day. If you want to take leave, they cut more leaves.

Pantry now has tea and coffee only available. Previously, more snack items were available. At the time, I saw more employees working late nights, but now the count has reduced.

As of now, it's not safe to work at VMware Broadcom. Maybe the future will change.

Advice to Management

Please ask VMware management beforehand if you are taking any decisions against VMware's work culture.
