VMware is gone
They claim to have a "total rewards" program that favors money rewards above anything else, which can be good for some. Also, since I'm technically not a full-time employee, I guess I won't see most benefits they have access to.
I have to admit that at least the severance package they're providing to laid off VMware employees is good.
A lot of things changed at VMware after Broadcom acquired it, mostly in the bad sense.
They clearly don't believe in WFH and are hard RTO pushers.
There have been a lot of instances of team restructures and layoffs, which were not always communicated effectively.
Their leadership team behaves too carelessly and takes important decisions recklessly.
