Pros

Compensation level is pleasant, especially stocks, RSUs, and dividends. First-line managers are awesome. Colleagues are very professional.

Cons

Uncertainty about the future – you never know when Mr. Hock Tan decides to fire or sell the whole department.

Also, even during the COVID-19 crisis, he does everything to push as many people to the office as possible (only local government regulations limit him).

The reason is unclear, as we are doing software here – there's no need for us to sit in the office, risking catching and spreading disease.

To my question about growth and self-development opportunities, my manager, with no doubt, told me: "None. There's a policy on mid-range grade per team, and we are way above it."

Advice to Management

Think a bit about people.
