It's all about survival and getting adopted into the bad culture just because you can't gather the courage to leave the cash on the table. Acquisition by Broadcom is like a definite death blow to the culture and innovation of the acquired company. Broadcom management only knows the language of money, including the CEO. The senior management of the acquired company (mostly a division in Broadcom at that time) is generally clueless and only has one goal: maximize profit margin. No innovation can happen in such a terrible place, never!
