Devops Engineer Interview Experience - United States

Process

The interview process for this role was very transparent and straightforward. A recruiter reached out to follow up on my application.

She gave me all the details on compensation and benefits right away.

There were only two rounds of formal interviews after that:

  • First, a call with the hiring manager to further discuss my background, what I was looking for, and give me more information about the role.
  • Next was a virtual onsite that consisted of four 30-45 minute sessions with various engineering team members.

There were no trick questions or whiteboarding. There was a fairly simple live coding exercise, and everything else was behavioral/culture-fit or conversational technical discussions.

The following week, they contacted me to ask for references and sent me an offer the next day.
