Cons: - Lack of feedback from mentor/coach - Hard to see what’s going on across the business as it’s getting very big and growing very fast - No real structure in place so I don’t know how to progress further in my career or how I’m currently tracking - There’s so many new people it’s sometimes hard to keep up - It feels like the tenured people have more “status” because they’ve been here for longer

Cons: Toxic positivity throughout: you bring in problems, and you are the problem. Incompetent middle management that blames their faults on individual contributors. Blame-ful engineering culture: you had a bug? Well, wait for it to reflect on your review. HR team protects managers mostly. The engineering department is a boys' club. All people are treated equally. If you know someone higher up, you will get treated more equally. Lots of CEO's decisions feel like bangs on the head.

Pros: I like Canva's culture here. It is so diversified, and everyone can work in his/her own style. I enjoy working on cool stuff with a lot of nice and talented people. BTW, the in-house chefs are so good. The management team is very supportive.

Cons: Canva is still small, so sometimes you may have to touch some areas you don't know. On the other hand, that would also be a great opportunity for you to learn in new areas. So it may be a pro.
