Cons: Becomes a corporation with many layers of management. The company moves pretty slowly these days.

It's gone downhill so fast it’s hard to know where to start

Pros: Remote friendly, decent pay, fairly qualified peers, good collaboration at the lowest level.
Cons: Ever since the company started to hire managers externally, the culture has gone seriously downhill, and there are not many promo opportunities. The top leadership were mostly at the right place at the right time, i.e., they joined the company back when management was trained through internal promotion and everyone was working closely with the founders. Now it’s all backstabbing games on the mid-to-high level management, and the positions are very windy.
All this is made worse by the fact that the company does random hiring freezes and team bonding budget freezes without proper explanation why. There’s talk in public and also internally about an IPO; maybe it’s related, but this has been going on for too long.
