Front End Developer Interview Experience - Sydney, Australia

Process

First, a 30-minute phone call.

Next, a coding challenge (implement a knockout tournament simulation).

Finally, a two-part technical interview (each part cca 2 hours) where you explain and extend your solution to the coding challenge.

The interview is quite brain-intensive, especially if you're doing it after work, and long. So, get good rest the night before and make sure to eat something.

I felt the interview process was overall pretty good. The coding challenge was a lot of fun to work on (definitely one of the better ones I've been given so far), and all the interviewers were friendly and professional.

The only hiccup was getting feedback from HR, which took quite some time. I had to remind them by email (after not receiving any feedback for almost two weeks, which sucks if you're interviewing with multiple companies at the same time).

I guess Canva is growing fast, so their hiring process might not have caught up yet. That said, everyone I talked to was nice.
