Process

The interview was very good, with lots of excellent questions. I really enjoyed it. The questions were tricky, but I liked them. They weren't easy, but I could answer them all, even though I was wrong about some. I still liked it.

Pros: Amazingly supportive environment, full of friendly and smart people. The C-level team is refreshingly down to earth and very approachable. It's an exciting time to be at the company, and it feels like the sky is the limit. The Sydney office is amazing, with all the perks you'd expect of a Silicon Valley-style tech company.

Cons: The company is growing rapidly, so inevitably there are some growing pains. The pace of change can sometimes be difficult to keep up with.

Very challenging, but can be rewarding

Senior Software Engineer • Current Employee

Brisbane, Queensland, Australia

Pros: Very generous benefits and stock options. Lots of great colleagues with strong alignment on values and mission. Heaps of interesting problems to address.

Cons: Some growing pains are still happening. A lot of engineering leaders are not well trained or supported for leadership, which at times results in teams being unfairly punished for poor management. The expectations on staff to deliver are very high, and performance reviews are quite brutal and opaque.

Pros: - Free food! - So many clubs and activities. - I work in Infra, so not super heavy on Software Engineering. - Good PR to the product.

Cons: - Growing pains - Very old practices, and there seems to be a lot of inertia in my org.
