Things have gotten better since Canva started building some actual structure around leadership, growth, and development.
They still have a lot to deliver around performance and compensation, but they are getting there. Just don't try to reinvent the wheel.
Also, don't be afraid to get rid of people if they are causing culture issues, even if they are good at delivering and making a big impact.
