I cleared the two technical rounds with good feedback. I informed HR and the interviewers that I am an ex-employee of Capgemini.
During the salary discussion, an HR representative, who I would describe as unprofessional, offered me a very low CTC. At the same time, she mentioned that her team had not informed her about my rehiring status, so my application might be rejected. My entire time and energy felt wasted due to such an unethical act.
After a few days, a senior HR member spoke with me and stated that the only issue was with the CTC. I later emailed, stating I could accept the initial offer and requesting the offer letter be released.
However, the HR group then emailed me back, stating I was not fit for the position.
As an ex-employee, I felt very bad. I believe they lack ethics in their practices. I can proudly say that TCS is far better than them.
They stated they couldn't give the hike as per expectations, but could offer a 70% hike. However, HR then said, "Oh, it's a rehiring? My HR team members did not inform me."
