The interview process consisted of two rounds. The first round lasted 30 minutes, and the second round was two hours long. For both rounds, the interviewer was very supportive and helpful. In the second round, after all the technical queries, I was given a case study to solve. Overall, the interview process was very good. It was an amazing experience.
There was some salary negotiation during the HR call, but Capgemini asked me to bear the cost for my dependents, which was GBP 2700 per dependent. As far as I know, none of the large organizations I have worked with or am aware of typically address this type of issue. I felt frustrated after discussing this with Capgemini HR for two weeks, hoping for compensation for the visa costs, either through a joining bonus or a salary hike. However, they did not agree. Financially, I was not in a position to afford all the visa costs for my dependents without support from Capgemini. Therefore, I declined the offer.
