I interviewed at Capgemini in July last week. The process lasted until August 24th. After getting selected in the L1 round and completing all document verification, I had to contact HR and the document verification person for a process update.
I sent over 10 emails and made more than 50 calls to HR.
HR reverted back, stating: "Expected salary is too high. Management has rejected the offer. We can offer around 12 [lakhs]." I already had an offer of 12+ lakhs, yet HR wanted me to join for 12 lakhs.
My experience was 5.6 years. My previous CTC was 9 lakhs, with the last increment being 3 lakhs. Capgemini was expecting me to join for 12 lakhs. My expected CTC was 14.5 - 15 lakhs.
This was a very bad experience. Before conducting the interview, they are friendly and nice, but after the interview is done, they don't have anything to do with you. All they wanted was to increase their numbers based on how many interviews they conducted.
Very, very bad experience.
