In the HR round, they tried to negotiate the expected CTC. She asked me to mention the minimum expected CTC below which I would not be able to join.
Next was one more discussion with a senior HR, as they were trying to negotiate much less than even the average CTC offered in the market. I have 2.8 years of experience and my current CTC is 4.5L; I expected 7. She told me they would not be able to offer more than 5.7.
I told her that if I stayed for 4 more months in my current company, my CTC would be revised to 5L. Then there would be no benefit in switching. She said that's all she could offer.
I think even testers would reject the offer since it's not even a 30% hike. Their offerings are so low that even startup companies would laugh at them. You people wasted my 4-5 hours in the interview process, and you want a cheap slave who should work as a developer for you. Pathetic!
