I had an interview directly with the client and was selected.
Initially, HR agreed with my expected CTC and asked for all the required documents, from passport and payslips to all marksheets and degrees.
After submitting the documents, I didn't receive any update for a week. So, I called HR, and then she said, "We cannot offer this much."
When I asked how much they were offering, she replied, "We are offering less than your current CTC, so probably you won't be able to join."
Questions
They asked mostly about performance tuning.
