After an initial introductory interview and the English test on EF (achieved level C1 listening and C2 reading), no one showed up for the appointment scheduled by HR this Friday, from 5:30 PM to 6:30 PM, for the technical interview.
I received a "retracted" email at 5:38 PM informing me of a few minutes' delay.
Having had to request an hour of ROL (paid leave) to attend the interview, after waiting 35 minutes in the Teams waiting room, I abandoned the meeting and sent an email to terminate the selection process.
Others' time is not worth less than one's own. I would have appreciated an apology for the significant delay (or at least a "sorry for the inconvenience," if they didn't wish to admit the significant delay).
Clearly, shortly after, I was contacted by the interviewer who, still without apologizing for the delay, tried to "spin the situation" by saying she had connected a few minutes after 6:05 PM (N.B. the appointment was at 5:30 PM) and that she had also tried to contact me by phone.
She probably had to justify herself to some superior copied on the email. A shameful attitude, no respect.
No questions: they did not show up for the technical interview.
