The interview was arranged by the Placement Cell of my institute. Based on research into the exam pattern, my preparation included solving aptitude questions and practicing some programming languages.

There was a written test first, which consisted of questions from aptitude, verbal, qualitative analysis, logical, and verbal reasoning.

The test was a qualifying exam, after which the process was followed by a group discussion. The group discussion's topic was 'Whether IPL is good or bad.' The GD was not an elimination round.

All candidates were required to go through face-to-face interviews: first technical, and then HR.

The technical interview consisted mostly of programming language-related questions. More importance was given to understanding the problem and making an appropriate algorithm, beside coding. Questions from past technical jobs, like training and project work, were also asked.

The HR interview consisted mainly of personality testing questions. I was cross-questioned many times regarding some questions just to observe how I reacted under pressure or influence.

To crack the interview, one must first be confident in oneself. Practicing some languages before the interview will give confidence. Qualifying the test, which is a major problem for many, is very easy if aptitude questions have been practiced beforehand.
