A recruiter reached out to me, indicating that they liked my experience and thought it to be a good fit for this role.
There were two interviews via phone. The interviewers communicated a meeting time very poorly and gave little to no notice, despite me indicating a time preference which they either forgot about or ignored.
The first interviewer was polite and inquired about my general work experience.
The second interviewer was very unprofessional and unprepared. They were surprised that I asked, "How many hours a week does this role typically consume on average?" to which they promptly replied, "Why do you care about that?" This indicated they had no regard for work-life balance.
The interviewer maintained an uninterested and hostile tone for the remainder of the interview before ending the conversation awkwardly by stumbling over their words and then stating, "I won't be calling you back, soooooo."
I'm shocked that a high-performing company like Capgemini would entertain such unprofessional and blatantly rude behavior towards their candidates. I would strongly urge management to audit their interview process if they wish to attract and retain talent.
