Solutions Architect Interview Experience - United Kingdom

August 1, 2023
Negative ExperienceNo Offer

Process

Besides a recruiter chat, there were three rounds. One round involved a session to present based on a case study with 24 hours' notice.

While the interviews were fairly generic, given it was a senior role, the interactions were mostly informal and scenario-based.

The gap between each round was not ideal (two to three weeks), and the overall process took three months. After verbally agreeing on a salary and a potential offer, the communication went very quiet. After constant chasing, they came back to say they were reconsidering the specification of the role and would not pursue my candidature.

This was, needless to say, very disappointing and not the best experience from a candidate's perspective.

Questions

Experience-based, and around a case study:

What were the considerations for a cloud operating model?

What would it take to set up a CCoE (e.g., existing staff vs. hiring new)?

Was this helpful?
