Pros

Solid resources for independent learning and upskilling.

Foot in the door for early-career developers.

Decent benefits: health, dental, vision, 401k matching, commuter.

Cons

Salary is half what it should be based on industry averages. Terrible communication from Capgemini management. You are pretty much on your own when not with a client. Beware of bait-and-switch tactics – it is unlikely that you will be working in the role that you applied for and instead pushed to learn whatever their clients need. The downside to being a good place for early career/fresh graduates is that you are often placed on inexperienced teams, which sets you up for a sink-or-swim scenario. Finally, despite being told how profitable the company is in internal emails, it is nearly impossible to get a raise. Many people have told me it's easier to quit and get rehired at a higher salary.

Advice to Management

Learn how to communicate with your staff.

Mentor your junior developers to better prepare them for the work they will do with their clients.

Your reputation with your clients is not as great as you'd think.
