Disappointing Hiring Experience with Capgemini
I had one of the worst interview experiences with Capgemini. I went through three rounds of interviews, submitted all the required documents, and even had a detailed discussion about the salary.
After all this, they suddenly mentioned that they could only offer a 10% hike on my current CTC—despite me clearly stating from the beginning that I was expecting at least a 30% hike.
It felt like a complete waste of time—almost three weeks gone with no transparency or respect for the candidate’s expectations. If they couldn’t meet the basic requirements, this should’ve been communicated much earlier in the process. It seemed like they were just dragging things along without any serious intention.
My advice: Be cautious while interviewing with them. The process lacks clarity, and they might just end up wasting your time.
Please consider improving the transparency of your hiring process.
If you can't meet a candidate's expected hike, communicate that upfront. Dragging the process through multiple rounds only to offer far below expectations reflects poorly on the company and wastes everyone's time.
Respectful and clear communication builds trust and strengthens your employer brand.
