Pros
  • Good pay package, as they are trying to compensate for the lack of brand equity compared to your former employer (if you are coming from Deloitte, Accenture, etc., especially if you are joining the Salesforce consulting practice).
  • Benefits, 401(k), and employee health insurance are on a level with the big consulting firms.
Cons
  • Unprofessional environment, poorly managed projects.
  • Rampant misogyny directed at Cap employees and client personnel.
  • High employee turnover. Barring two resources, the average tenure of my team of ten was four months, including the Director.
  • No autonomy in terms of work. You do what top management tells you to do. Even Sr. Managers on my team were not exempted from this.
  • A couple of my colleagues kept reassuring me that as bad as the current project was, they had worked for worse, which suggested mismanagement was the norm rather than the exception at Cap.
  • Toxic work environment.
Advice to Management
  • There is no point in hiring top talent from the market when you expect them to be simply 'yes men'.
  • Top executives need to be educated on workplace etiquette. In terms of casual sexism, they were the worst offenders.
